Thomas S. Edwards, Jr. Appointed to Judicial Management Council by Florida Supreme Court

JACKSONVILLE, FL: On November, 15, 2012 Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Ricky Polston appointed Thomas S. Edwards, Jr., senior partner at Edwards & Ragatz, P.A. to the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Management Council.  The Council is composed of fifteen (15) voting members, including the Chief Justice and one other Justice.

The Florida Supreme Court recreated the Judicial Management Council this year to serve in an advisory function relating to the effective and efficient administration of justice by the Florida Court System.  The goal of the Judicial Management Council is to enable the judicial branch to better fulfill its mission to protect rights and liberties, uphold and interpret the law, provide peaceful resolution of disputes and achieve its vision of accessible, fair, effective, responsive and accountable courts.

Thomas S. Edwards, Jr. has a long history of leadership and service to the Judicial system and the community, including, past President of the Jacksonville Bar Association, past President of The Florida Justice Association, a current member of Best Lawyers in America, a Board member for Jacksonville Area Legal Aide and a current member of the Florida Bar Trial Lawyer’s Executive Council.
